Volkswagen Vento 1.6L Trendline Features & Specifications, ARAI Mileage and Price

Volkswagen Vento Petrol Trendline is the base version that delivers an impressive mileage of 15.04kmpl. It incorporates a strong DOHC 1598cc 4 cylinder in-line petrol engine that is coupled with 5 speed manual transmission. It offers a 6 years anti-corrosion warranty on its galvanized exteriors. The appeal of the car is made alluring with help of halogen lamps, tinted glass and front grille with chrome finish.  The interiors are equally fascinating with black and beige antiglare dashboard and a stunning central condole. The feel and features included are sumptuous. Few vital are AC with rear vents, odometer, tilt and height adjustable steering, tachometer, power windows and many others.

Exteriors

Volkswagen Vento Petrol Trendline is a re-structured model of Volkswagen polo that comes with  addition of the boot. Unlike in case of Swift Dzire wherein the boot looks to be mechanically attached, the engineers have carefully integrated the boots to blend with the rest of car body. The wheel base is longer than in Polo and includes 16 inch alloy wheels. It has 2 alternatives of engine – 1.6 Petrol manual / Auto and 1.6 TDI, each of which is available in its both variants of Trendline and Highline. That is, this variant either has base version or the premium version. The mid version is omitted by the manufacturers.

Interiors

Volkswagen Vento Petrol Trendline has an impressive ambiance. The dashboard and plastic finesse with no panel gaps makes the car extremely graceful. The front seats are facilitated with two levers for leg room adjustment – regular and at rear. The latter is useful in case of chauffeur-driven car. It is inbuilt with power steering though music controls are not mounted on it. Infact, sound quality is average for its audio -CD player that does not support USB or auxiliary devices.

Transmission and drive

The highlight of this car is the extreme silence even after ignition and acceleration that takes place at awesome ease. The mating of engine with 6 speed tiptronic gearbox adds to the strength of the car. The only precaution that one has to take is to wear seat belt as that warning alarm is skipped.

Ride, Handling and Braking

The Vento is mounted on 185/60/15 Apollo rubber which delivers an admirable performance. Since the rubber quality is not best in industry, it places focus on the braking system to compensate for the control and balancing. This is kept robust with advanced features like ABS and EBD. The suspension is equally good that helps in smooth bump-free ride. The steering is light that enable easy handling in city traffic.

Performance

Volkswagen Vento includes a power-driven 1.6L DOHC petrol engine that is tremendously silent. It delivers a gusto performance with mileage of 10-12 kmpl, maximum power of 105ps at 5250rpm and torque of 158nm at 3800rpm. It has automatic transmission to enhance its performance as reflected in its quick pick up of 0-100kmph in mere 13.7 seconds. In addition, it comfortably runs at a top speed of 170kmph.
