The mid segment for Nissan Sunny XL Petrol also comes with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) option. Thanks to CVT’s zero shift-shock nature, you enjoy a smooth driving experience in the sedan. Its compliant ride quality is in perfect harmony with predictable handling. We now take a look at the features of XL CVT:
In automatic transmission variant of the Sunny XL, Nissan gives you the same set of features as in the 5 speed manual. Body coloured bumpers, ORVMs and door handles are some chief design elements on the exterior. The 14*5.5 J Steel wheels come with full covers. And the ORVMs are electrically adjustable.
It is the roomy cabin of Sunny XL CVT that instantly delights once you step inside the car. Nissan does offer an integrated music system along with aux in port and four speakers. The XL CVT sports Chrome Plated internal door handles – this is a feature that the company does not provide in XL with manual transmissions (for both petrol and diesel variants).
Comfort and Convenience
Sunny’s petrol mid segment variant with CVT comes loaded with all the comfort features that adorn its sibling with manual gearbox. Steering mounted audio control and auto AC with filter are some good design features in the sedan. Boot light, a remote keyless entry system and the convenience of height adjustment for driver’s seat largely add to the car’s quality. The smart key with push button ignition is an additional comfort element in Sunny CVT – Nissan does not offer this in mid segment variant (XL) with manual transmission.
ABS (Anti Lock brake system) with an EBD (Electronic brake distribution), engine immobilizer, driver & front passenger airbags, anti theft alarm system and speed sensing auto door locks are some safety features common for XL Manual and CVT. The latter however also comes equipped with front fog lamps for further safety.
Nissan claims that it has used advanced fourth generation CVT technology to make the XL CVT a smooth and fuel efficient car. At Rs.10.06 lakhs, it is the most expensive Sunny in the petrol segment.
