Subsequent to Micra Diesel XL is the feature rich XL Optional (O) that has few more elements for added style, utility and comfort.
Micra XL (O) is powered by the same 1461 cc 4 cylinder engine that runs other variants of diesel Micras. It’s a 5 speed manual transmission and goes from 0 to 100 km per hour in about 16 seconds
Here’s a brief about its design attributes
Optional variant for diesel XL has the same set of features as those in the XL. Body coloured bumpers, ORVMs and external door handles lend it a pleasant appearance. The hatch has tinted glasses and the two part front grille with chrome finish now gets the Nissan brand logo (in older models the logo sits on the lower end of bonnet). Optional variant of the Micra XL diesel has 165/70 R14 steel wheels.
Aesthetics and feel of Micra XL (O)’s interiors are akin to standard XL’s cabin. The dashboard has a rather rounded design theme and this complements the external styling of the car. It is particularly the integrated music system in the XL (O) that makes it superior to the other Micra diesel XL. The built-in music system has ports for aux-in and USB devices. Another addition is the Bluetooth hands free facility that allows you to call and accept calls without losing the control of steering wheel.
Comfort and Convenience
Nissan offers a range of comfort features in Micra XL diesel and all of these are also a part of the XL (O). But this being the high grade version of the XL, obviously has something extra. The additional comfort features come in the form of an intelligent push button start system for the hatch. What’s more, the optional variant has a luggage lamp in the boot – this lets you adjust and reach out for things easily from the rear seat, while on the move.
Supplementing the basic safety features that are provided in the other XL variant, Micra XL optional variant has Anti Lock brake system (ABS) with Electronic brake distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA). Airbag has been provided for the driver’s side.
Micra XL (O) is an efficient diesel car for everyday city driving and if you habitually drive your car with the music system on, it makes sense to pay a little more and choose this variant instead of the slightly cheaper XL. The added security provided by the ABS is another plus point in this variant of the car.
