The low cost modification of Micra in form of Micra Active has 4 variants and the XV (S) tops them all with a load of features for added style, comfort and safety.
This petrol driven hatch is a good option if you are looking for a low cost car with decent fuel efficiency. It runs on a 1198 cc 3 cylinder engine and does a 0 to 100 kmph in 14.23 seconds.
Take a closer look at its styling, comfort and safety attributes:
Exteriors
External design of the Micra XV (S) closely resembles the XV. It has been adorned with standard features including that body coloured & sporty front bumper, ORVMs & door handles carrying the colour of the car, and a radiator grille with neat chrome finish.
Interiors
The look and feel of cabin again is same as that of XV. But this is the top end variant and so there should be some degree of product differentiation. The company has created this by keeping four speakers for the music system in the cabin. So along with 2 speakers in the front, you get 2 more at the rear.
Comfort and Convenience
Nissan has fitted an extra feature for little more comfort and convenience in the Micra XV (S). This comes as the luggage lamp. With a small light in the boot, you can easily reach out for things stored in there. All other elements for comfort are precisely the same as in the XV.
Safety
Micra XV (S) has few additional safety features that are missing in the other three variants. Most prominently, it gets Anti lock brake system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD) and brake assist. Other extra safety features come in the form of airbags – for the driver as also the front passenger.
So that’s what makes for the package of extra features in the XV (S). With a price of Rs. 4.71 lakhs (ex showroom Delhi), the top end variant of Micra Active still falls in economy hatchback segment. This fully loaded model is a nice value-for-money purchase at least for first time car buyers.
