Next in line to the base variant of Nissan Evalia is the Nissan Evalia XE + that comes packed with few more features for comfort and safety. There’s a total price difference of about Rs.50000 between the XE and XE+.
Let us delve into the details of its styling and attributes to see what extra is offered against the added price:
With reference to design and styling, there is no product differentiation between the base variant and the XE+. It comes with body coloured bumpers, ORVMs and door handles just like Evalia XE. The extensive front windscreen and radiator grille with chrome finish and Nissan logo give this van a robust exterior even if it seems to have slightly odd styling.
Step inside and you find that all features of the cabin and dashboard are same as that of XE. There are reclining and foldable seats to create more space. The door handles in both XE and XE+ do not have chrome finish unlike the other two higher end variants. There is an integrated music system with radio, CD and MP3 players and this is the most prominent upgrade from the base variant.
Comfort and Convenience
Once again, Evalia XE+ comes with exactly the same set of comfort features as in the XE. So you get power steering that can be adjusted for tilt, electronically adjustable ORVMs and a dead paddle that serves as foot rest. There is a seat back table for added utility as also bottle holder and storage space in front doors. Sliding doors have cup holders and both the driver and front passenger get sun visors. None of the windows are powered and there is no separate air conditioner vent for third row!
Does Nissan give you something extra here (over and above the safety features of XE)? Yes it does even though this is simply in form of dual front SRS air bags for driver and front passenger. All other safety features such as ABS with EBD & Brake Assist, and engine immobilizer among others are common for Evalia XE and XE+.
So that sums it up for Nissan Evalia XE+’s features. You pay little extra for that integrated music system and a set of sir bags. The variant is suitable and practical for commercial use, particularly car rental companies and tour operators.
