The launch of Maruti WagonR Stingray has created a lot of buzz in market because it promises to offer the best to car freaks. These Indian auto makers have recently launched this sibling of Wagon R with several alterations and improvisation. This vehicle is launched in three price ranges to the customers in the form of LXi, VXi and VXi option models. With a simple glimpse it conveys the sporty and boxy appearance. This look is basically contributed by the large air dams over bumper and flat hood. The VXi option is the feature laden car conceptually made for extravagant buyers. With top in class mileage, superior styling and comfort features the VXi (o) is a promising package.
The Maruti Stingray VXi (o) is a five seater hatchback that is garnished with stunning exteriors. At the front side, reflective grille and sleek projector headlamps are quite evident. The body colored handles, stylish side skirts and alloy wheels mandate its side appearance. The makers have embellished the rear end with a sleek light cluster containing chrome highlighted tail lamps, petite fog lights and braking indicators. The engine is equipped with 3 cylinders configured with In line position along with 12 valves distributed as 4 valves for each. The transmission between speed and torque is rendered by a 5 speed manual gear box. The maximum capacity of fuel tank is 35 liters. According to tests, the fuel consumption of this car is around 20 kmpl at highway scenario. The average mileage provided in day to day driving is around 14 kmpl.
Braking and handling
Classic to the other variants of Stingray this option pack model is also furnished with a ventilating disk and drum combination for brakes. This car has adopted the most technically advanced suspension type that is Mcpherson strut for front wheels. The rear wheels are adorned by ITL or Isolated Trailing Link which is a suspension system devised by Suzuki company that works as stabilizer. The makers boast on framed suspension systems that conduces smooth drive. This sporty car is made to attain 0 to 100 kmph mark in 15.9 seconds but the modern braking and suspension mechanism allows for complete control over the vehicle even at the top speed of 148 kmph.
The Indian auto makers have loaded many comfort and convenience features in this edition of Stingray. The additional features include folding rear seats, seat split for storage, steering mounted controls, tinted window glasses, air conditioning systems, power windows, rear defogger and so on. For expediency the makers have bestowed remote controlled functions for boot opening, fuel filling and air conditioning adjustments. Common to the Wagon R sib, it also carries central locking system. The leg room and boot space is incredible and allows free movement of passengers.
The VXi option pack version of Maruti Stingray is conferred with several additional safety features compared to its predecessors.
