Honda Jazz V MT Petrol Features & Specifications, ARAI Mileage and Price

It’s safe to say that Honda Jazz is the smaller version Honda city. I think that just the Brio family which includes Brio, Amaze and Mobilio with similar looks Honda is trying to do the same with City by launching Jazz and I suppose a compact SUV is next. Also, the looks of the next gen Honda Civic (soon to be launched) are pretty much in – line with that of City and Jazz. Let’s check out the details about Jazz’s V variant.

Specification

Priced at Rs. 6.80 lakhs (ex – showroom price) this manual transmission variant not only attracts premium hatchbacks as competition but compact sedans are its target as well. The major competition includes Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai’s Elite i20 and Fiat Punto from the hatchback segment and Tata Zest, Swift Dzire and Honda Amaze form the sedan.

The technical details are as charming as the looks of this car. There is a Honda I – Vtec inline 4 cylinder petrol engine with a displacement of 1199 cc and a power house of 90 BHP @ 6000 RPV with a peak torque of 110 NM @ 4800 RPM. All of this is mated to 5 – speed manual transmission. The company promises a mileage of 18.2 KMPL (which is second best in this segment) with a 40 liter tank. The car has McPherson Strut as front suspensions and Torsion Beam Axle as rear suspensions which provide a brilliant ride quality. The small turning radius of 5.1 meters makes it a great choice to cut through the Indian traffics.

Exteriors And Interiors

Honda has given the new Jazz an overwhelming look which will bring the steam out of the other car’s and their owners. The car looks exactly like the Honda City from front while the rear looks pretty novel as it does reminds you a little of Volvo XC60. The car has a sporty and an aerodynamic look. The tailgate spoiler of this car adds a great look to it which usually does the opposite job in most of the cars. The chrome garnishing and alloy wheels do their job very well. The car comes in 7 colours viz. Golden Brown Metallic, Sunset Orange, Carmelian Red Pearl, Alabaster Silver Metallic, Taffeta White, Urban Titanium Metallic and White Orchid Pearl.

The interiors of the car are just brilliant and the techie features are enough for you to comfortably enjoy the ride. The interiors are single toned Beige in color and supports premium fabric for seat upholstery. The car has a 5 inch non – touch screen audio system with integrated rear parking camera support. The HVAC system is automatic and it keeps the car chilled or heated according to the weather which compensates for the missing rear A/C.

Safety

Safety features of this car are best in the segment (except Volkswagen Polo GT). The ACE body design, Immobilizer, central locking and seat beat reminder are present as standard. The main highlights in this variant are Driver and Front Passenger SRS airbags, ABS, EBD, rear view camera and central locking. The keyless entry is also given for consumer’s conveyance. There is no Brake Assist, ESP and traction control in this car or in this segment.
