Brio is a subcompact hatchback by Honda which was launched in India in the year 2011. Besides India it is also produced in Thailand. After these two countries the car has also been launched in South Africa in the year 2012. Honda designed the car with its "man maximum, machine minimum" principle.

Honda Brio has one of the most powerful and refined engines in its segment. The car is powered with 1.2 L SOHC i-VTEC petrol engine with 4 cylinders and 16 valves and is available in both manual and automatic transmission. The engine has a displacement of 1198 cc. The Brio is capable to churn out a maximum power of 88 PS @6000 rpm and maximum torque (In both Manual and Automatic Transmission) of 109 NM @4500 rpm. The front has a disc brake while the rear comes with drum brakes. The turning radius of Manual Transmission is 4.5 m while for Automatic Transmission is 4.7 m. The car comes with PGM-Fi fuel supply system. It has a fuel capacity of 35 L. The Brio can deliver a mileage of about 19.4 kmpl for the manual transmission and about 16.5 kmpl for the automatic transmission.
In terms of exterior look, Honda Brio certainly has a supremely classy design which is based on the ‘Double Triangle’ exterior design concept. The front of the car has an edgy and captivating chrome grille and a fine line rising from the dynamic crystal headlamps that imparts character to the vehicle. It has a wide stance that helps the vehicle in robust and stable driving. From the side, the outside rear view mirrors are Brio body coloured which can be adjusted electronically. In the rear, the back lights are placed at the extreme ends with an all glass finish. In addition, its aerodynamic design theme adds to the style statement that it makes.

The driver seat can be adjusted as per the convenience. Front seats have integrated headrests. It has a single tone beige interior in all the variants except in the Brio V MT which has dual-tone beige interior. The car has an electronically powered tiltable three-spoke steering wheel with mounted audio controls on it. The dashboard is simple and uncluttered. It has a well fitted and good quality plastic to boast of in the segment. The dashboard has 4 AC vents, the control of which lies on the central console. In terms of other features, the car has an advanced integrated USB audio system, Unique and sporty Triple Analog 3D Meters with enhanced visibility, spacious glove box, front & rear drink holder, electrically adjustable rear view mirrors, power windows, central locking, and fuel consumption display.
In terms of safety, Brio is equipped with range of safety features like ABS (Anti-lock Braking system) with EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution), G-CON that reduces the impact in the event of crash and crumple zones ensure pedestrian safety, pretensioner seat belts with speed limiter & dual SRS airbags.
