The revamped model of Chevrolet Spark looks like a smaller version of the Beat and is better equipped with superior features to compete against Maruti Alto K10 and Hyundai Eon. Spark 1.0 LT is the top end variant for this hatch in the petrol league.
Let us get a closer view of its design, comfort and safety features:
Chevrolet makes Spark 1.0 LT the top variant by giving it a few more features for extra charm and refinement. Along with the standard design components, there is chrome finish on the edges of two part grille. Further, there are stylish fog lamps that have not been fitted in the base variants. New Spark 1.0 LT also gets satin silver roof rails and a sporty spoiler at the back. Thanks to extra elements, this variant does look more elegant than its other two siblings. The Spark comes in a range of six fascinating colours - Velvet Red, Caviar Black, Linen Beige, Sandrift Grey, Summit White and Misty Lake.
Step inside and you see some more difference. While the standard features of cabin are similar to other 2 variants, the design on seat fabric is classier with a clover pattern. The door trims also get fabric inserts in here and the instrument panel has a silver finish. And because this is the top end model, you get a music system with USB and Aux-in ports.
Along with all the comfort features that adorn the 1.0 LS, the top variant brings with itself a few more. All windows are powered are in here. There is a vanity mirror for front passenger side and both the ORVMs can be internally adjusted. Also, there is a defogger for the boot glass.
Chevrolet has equipped all variants with standard elements for adequate safety. Since Spark 1.0 LT is the top end variant, it has an extra one in form on central locking facility. Its rear view mirror is also optimised for day/night anti glare. The front fog lamps also add to the safety aspect.
The price of top end Spark 1.0 LT BS3 and mid end variant 1.0 LS BS3 differs by about Rs.30000 (ex showroom Delhi prices). The extra bucks that you pay bring you the comfort of power windows for both front and rear, a built-in music system and a couple of extra safety attributes.
On the whole though, the facelifted Spark is a nice buy if you need a practical and budget car.
