Value For Money

I purchased Vista during the Christmas festival as I got some heavy discounts on it. Besides the company also exchanged my old Alto 2006 model car for Rs. 1, 20,000 which is another reason why I bought Vista. I have been trying to sell my old Alto for quite some time but couldn’t able to get the right value for it. I had contacted some personal buyers through the internet, went to the various companies’ second hand car business outlets but never felt that I was offered the right value.
Everyone was quoting for below 1 lac and then when I got the offer of Rs. 1.20 lakh from the dealership of Tata, I couldn’t say no.  As Vista has both petrol and diesel model so in our final selection we chose the yellow coloured Vista in diesel. It’s not been much time; hardly around 10 days but I have some very good things to tell about my car.
First of all I am really pleasantly surprised by the room inside the car. I don’t think any other car has so much space inside as Vista has. I feel like I am sitting inside the big car like Honda City or SX4. Vista has so much space at the front and back too. My whole family sit very comfortably and in fact this is the first time I have realized that we all have the mood to go outside together which was simply not possible in my old Alto.
Even my mother suffering from knee joint problems can get inside and outside on her own. In my old Alto she simply felt so much of pain because the doors of that car were small and they need to bend down a lot in order to enter inside. In our new car Vista she feels much happy and relieved and so are we.
Vista speedometer which at the centre of the car is distracting. I am not used to it and find it very irritating to see nothing in my front. There is totally empty space and feels very uncomfortable. I think it will take some time before I get used to it but still I think Tata Motors shouldn’t have made these sorts of mistakes. Also the audio controls are on the steering of the car but these are very small. Also I sometimes think it would be better if they had not provided these as I find them hardly useful.
On the outside I am satisfied with looks and the roof antenna at the front part looks very stylish. Lights of Vista are very good and there is more light on road than the floodlights shining in the grounds of India-Pakistan match. I also feel that the look-wise also these are absolutely beautiful. Fog lights too are good to look, but recently one of the fogs light has stopped working. I didn’t expect such an early defect in the car and went back to the dealership. Fortunately the concerned person Mr. Mahesh listened carefully and promptly called upon one of the technicians from the workshop. He slipped beneath the car and just within few minutes, fog light started again. He told me that one of the wires was loosened that caused the problem. I thanked both of them because otherwise if I was to follow the proper procedure, it would have taken at least 3-4 hours to get the work done.
