Nissan all set to Launch #Have You Clicked Today campaign

Nissan and Save LIFE Foundation partner up to launch survey on usage and awareness of seat belts with a special focus on children- a first of its kind in India.

New Delhi ,Jan 10, 2019 : #HaveYouClicked Today is the name of the social responsibility campaign from the house of Nissan. Announcing its launch today Nissan wanted to make a difference by raising awareness and advocate the use of rear seat belts. This is in light of the fact that currently India is considered as the global road accident capital clocking 17 deaths and 53 crashes every hour.

Nissan India commissioned India's frst survey on rear seat belts and with a special focus on children. It partnered up with SaveLIFE Foundation and SHARP for this new initiative. This baseline survey has been conducted across 11 cities and will be launched by Hon’ble Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, on 11th January 2019 in the national capital.

An extensive school outreach program has been planned with the aim to reach out to over 200k students in 12 cities across the country in the first phase. The aim is to educate the next generation and gear them to become mmore responsible behind the wheels. The outreach program has been planned by Nissan India in partnership with


Thomas Kuehl President - Nissan India operations had this to say about the launch :

“It is alarming when you hear such statistics on road accidents in India. While there is considerable amount of awareness and communication around usage of seat belts, there is almost negligible focus in using rear seat belts. Through our campaign #HaveYouClickedToday, we aim to drive the awareness and also builds a strong case for a comprehensive National Road Safety law to bridge the policy-implementation gap.”
