Nissan Eyes 350 Dealerships in the Next Three Years

To strengthen its market presence in India, Japanese auto maker Nissan is in plan to increase its network threefold by opening 350 dealerships across the country, in the next three year by targeting tier I and tier II cities.Ajay Raghuvanshi, Vice President, Business Management, Nissan Motors India said "Currently, we have 117 Nissan dealerships across the country. The dark patch for the Indian automobile industry continues and doesn’t seem to end anytime soon. As per the latest report the domestic car sales in India declined 8.15%to 1,42,849 in November 2013 as against the 1,55,535 units in the same month last year.As per the data released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the sales of commercial vehicles were down by 28.78% to 43,730 units in November’13 as compared to 61,403 .....

Leading Auto maker Tata Motors is in plans to hike prices of is passenger vehicles by about 1% from January next year.
