2017 Porsche 911 launched in India

Porsche has updated its sports car, the 911 in India. The series now comes with added dose of equipment and feature updated set of powertrains.

Porsche India, wholly owned subsidiary of Volkswagen group has launched 2017 edition of its sports car, the 911. The car is priced at Rs 1.42 crore. The top variant of the car the 911 Turbo S Cabriole is priced at Rs 2.81 crore (both prices, ex-showroom,Delhi). In sum, the 911 range comes in four different variants - Carrera, Carrera S, Turbo and Turbo S - with each one of them featuring Cabriole version.


In terms of design and styling changes, new range of models feature of more dynamic and shapat looks. A whole lot of equipment has been added to the car and engine Under the Hood are also being retuned to offer better performance as well as fuel efficiency. Inside the cabin, company has introduced more sophisticated and driver friendly gadgetry which help to monitor not only the important aspects of the car but also aids in bringing fun to the occupants buy hosting a lot of order audio-visual capabilities. Dubbed as Porsche communication management system, this constellation of teachers will surely help to make car more attractive and practical too. On outside, new daytime running lamps, sportier bumper with bigger air intake, and sharper rear end.

Under the Hood, engine options include 3.8-litre twin Turbo charged motor which is capable of putting out 533 bhp and 572 bhp in different states of tune. 0 to 100 kmph comes in just 3 seconds in case of former while Turbo S model which comes with the letter output takes 2.9 seconds to achieve this feat. Engine is mated with 8 speed automatic transmission system which has been tuned to deliver sharp and responsive gear change. In terms of equipment, all models come with Porsche dynamic controls chassis system, Porsche active suspension management system, and ceramic brakes. In addition, new range has also got 20 inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery and seats, and sports steering wheel with mounted controls. Of late post has seems to have taken increased interest in Indian market and this is a reason why we have witnessed slew of new launches / upgrades from this luxury car maker owned by Volkswagen.
