Oil Pump is a device that helps to circulate the lubricant oil in all the moving parts of the engine. The parts are referred to bearings, crankshaft, camshaft bearings, as well as lifters. The Oil Pump is generally located at the bottom position of the crankcase next to the sump. This part is significant along with other parts like sump, galleries, etc. to perform the crucial role and better performance of the engine. By any chance if the Oil Pump gets block then it can cause the severe damage to the engine as well as the complete breakdown of the engine. For that same reason the oil input connected to the sump has a mesh filter in order to filter the oil that will go through the pump then through the oil galleries to the different moving parts of the engine. Even the small particle can clog oil pump and galleries because of taking the necessary precaution is very important.
