Miller Cycle in the engineering is a thermodynamic rotation utilized in a sort of internal combustion engine. Miller Cycle was invented by the American based engineer that is Ralph Miller back in the December 24, 1957. In the Miller Cycle method the intake valves are kept open for a longer time as compared to the Otto cycle engine. Using the Miller Cycle the piston of cylinder will only begin to compress the air-fuel mixture when the intake valves are closed. The intake valves only get closed when the piston is moved to certain distance just above it’s the most bottom position that is about 20 to 30 percent traveled distance of piston. Using Miller Cycle the efficiency of the engine also gets improved by increasing the compression ratio. In the engine using compression ratio does not better efficiency as the compression ratio is restricted because of the self-ignition. With the decreased compression stroke ratio of Miller Cycle the pressure stay higher. Many leading engine manufacturing companies are using this technology in their engine operation to improve the performance of the engine to thus the car. It can be used in both regular as well as sports vehicles.
