Heat Exchanger is equipment that is built for the efficient transfer of heat from a particular media to another without mixing both of them or making them to have direct contact. Heat exchangers are used in refrigerator, air conditioner, power plants, etc. The internal combustion engine has a heat exchanger which is the best example for the heat exchanger. Here the radiator coils are used for the engine coolant to flow through them but the air flows beyond the coils and lets the coolant to cool and at the same time heats the air that comes into the engine. In an air conditioner, two heat exchangers are found i.e. it comes with an evaporator unit which contains the refrigerator liquid that is forced into the low pressure system tubes through a small orifice. When the vapour is expanded, the heat is extracted from the air and passed between these tubes after that the vapour is pumped into a condenser that is situated in front of the car and nearer to the radiator. Here the heat is expelled to the surrounding air while condensing back to the liquid.
