With the launch of A class, the luxury car makers have introduced a different class of personal transport vehicles into market. This was originally produced in hatchback version with five doors. The German automobile makers introduced it in the year of 1997 at Frankfurt Motor Show. In that year it came with a unique system of front wheel administration that would protect the system’s engine and transmission from damage caused due to impact. The first generation model was equipped with high tech features and it was in market till the year 2004. This particular model also received a facelift in the year 2001 that included revamped bumper design and other minor changes. In order to suit the new standards, Mercedes Benz unveiled a second generation model of A class with impressive changes. This version was touted as the perfect family car and was embedded with steel alloys, sufficient passenger air bags and major design changes.
This second generation model also received a facelift in the year of 2008 that altered its rear as well as front bumper design and head lights. This facelift made the car equipped with the latest start/stop ignition facility. The recent Mercedes A class is a third generation car that is dynamic and caters to young generation. This is a luxurious Supermini or small family car that comes with a bag of features. This new equipped version would be launched in India around 15th December 2013. This launch would also mark the first time arrival of A class over Indian soil. The maker is bringing some basic changes in their existing version to suit Indian audience and planning to launch it as a premium hatchback.

This 1.5 lit cylinder motor would produce around 122 bhp @ 3200 RPM power and 200 Nm torque. The transmission of this hatchback is a latest 7 speed Dual Clutch automatic that could be controlled through paddle shifting utilities. The diesel version on the other hand is mated with 2143 cc engine producing 109 bhp @ 5000 RPM power and 260 Nm torque. This striking car comes with three color options that are Jupiter red, Cirrus white and Pollar silver. It is also present in a navy blue variant for Indian market. With the different launches of A class and its facelifted versions, Merc’s this creation received many titles and awards. The A class became ‘’the most beautiful car of year 2012’’ that was given for its three pointed star grille look. It was also ‘’the most attractive car of Germany’’ in 2012. The automobile club Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club or ADAC awarded A class its prestigious title of ‘’Most favorite car’’. It has also received many other titles for the innovative light systems, fuel economy and design features.
