14 Nov 2016. Hyundai Motors India Limited finally launched new Tucson in India at a starting price of Rs 18.99 lakh, going all up to Rs 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). In its third-generation, Tucson features company's new fluidic design philosophy. Sleek headlamps, large hexagonal grille, aerodynamic demeanor and chiseled bodywork help the Tucson to stand out from the rest. Rear of the SUV is reminiscent to the Elite i20 with boomerang tail lights and silver skid plates adding to the excitement. The SUV is powered by the choice of two engines - 2.0-liter petrol and diesel motor. Petrol model is good for 160 PS and 192 NM of Max Power and max torque respectively. Diesel engine, on the other hand, capable of turning out more powerful 190 PS and 400 Nm. Transmission choices is also available in both manual and automatic gearbox. Unfortunately, all-wheel drive option is not available for now. Inside the cabin, the Tucson features high quality interiors and soft-touch plastics. The car is roomy and though it comes with 5-seat configuration, it offers sufficient space for seating a family in comfort. Electrically adjustable front seats, large 8 inch touchscreen infotainment system that doubles up as a screen for rear view, front and side airbags, ABS with EBD, cruise control etc. are some of the features expected on the car. Hyundai Tucson is up against the likes of Chevrolet Trailblazer and Ford endeavor among others.
