Chevrolet India Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Motors, has silently launched 2016 Beat in India. The base model of the new addition is retailed at Rs 4.28 lakh while top of the line variant is priced at Rs 5.55 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is worth noting that company hasn't promoted this new launch as the latest update launched into the market without any promotional campaign. Changes on the new model are confined primarily to the interiors of the car as the company has now offered more comfort and convenience options in this 5-door hatchback. Additionally, Beat now also comes in two new color options and a new nomenclature for the top and variant which is now called LTZ unlike the older scheme referring it as LT (O). There has been no change made to the exterior as well as mechanical hardware of the car. Choice on the engine front domain similar to the outgoing version with customer getting the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.0-litre diesel motors available on outgoing model. Petrol motor is good for 78 PS and 107 Nm while diesel engine turns out 57 PS and 143 Nm. Mileage of petrol and diesel is rated at 17.8 km/l and 25.44 km/l respectively.
