Upcoming cars in September 2012

New Cars Launch Scheduled for September 2012

Indian car manufacturers are using September of 2012 to launch their new cars or upgrades of their existing cars in September to cash on the expected demand in the upcoming festive seasons.

Most cars though being termed as new are just refreshed version of their existing models. Such upgrades help car manufacturers to rekindle brand interest and also take a price hike under the garb of new car launch.

First of the block as expected was the New Ritz from Maruti Suzuki, the  New Ritz now looks more like the Swift from the front. Whilst the official unveiling is scheduled for 9/10th of September, prices have already being announced and Maruti Dealers are already selling it. Maybe, Maruti will use the official launch occasion to announce the Automatic variant of the New Ritz as is widely expected in the Indian car market.

Renault Scala is scheduled for the 7th September. This will be Renault’s 5th car launch in India and they are ahead of their promised scheduled of 5 cars launch in India by end of 2012.

Volkswagen is also expected to launch its Polo and Vento Refresh between 8th to the 10th of September

Mid month will see the launch of New Spark from Chevrolet and Quanto (Mini Xylo) from Mahindra and Mahindra.

Evalia from Nissan lands on the Indian shores on 27th September, thus adding one more option in addition to the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Renault Duster and Mahindra & Mahindra Mini Xylo OR Quanto for the upgrading Indian car buyers.

Ford is ready with their upgraded Figo, expected to see the light of the day in last week or first week of October 2012. However, Ford might decide to announce the New Figo this month with actual deliveries scheduled post 15th October or once the existing stock gets over.

Brio Automatic can happen around its 1st anniversary which is either 27th or 28th September or  could go into 1st week October but before the shradh.

What’s interesting to note, is that, except Renault Scala and Nissan Evalia, all other cars expected to be launched in September 2012 are upgrades of their existing versions. Be it Ford Figo, Chevrolet Spark, Honda Brio, M&M Quanto or Mini Xylo or the Ritz.
