Which is a better car between Manza Club Class Ex vs Dzire ZDI

I would admit that both cars are pretty good choices. However the Manza Club Class Quadrajet EX at 8.43 lacs  is more expensive than the Dzire ZDi at 7.74 lacs. Let’s see if the Manza Club Class delivers more enough to justify the additional Rs.1 lac the Dzire ZDi.

Both the Dzire ZDi and Manza run on the engine, which in basic construction terms is quite similar as both cars use the engine developed by Fiat. This diesel engine is shared by cars from Maruti, GM, Fiat and Tata Motors. Whilst the basic engine construction is the same, however, each manufacturer have tuned the engine and mated it with different transmission box, which impacts the overall driveability of the car. It’s a known fact that whilst the power and torque deliver in the Dzire is more linear and has less diesel lag as compared to what is delivered by the engine under Manza hood. Between Manza and Dzire, it’s the Dzire which is less thirsty, as it delivers a rated ARAI mileage of 23.4 Kmpl Vs 21.2 Kmpl by Manza.

Between the two, Manza Club Class offers more space than the Dzire Vdi. At 4413 mm length. Manza Club Class is longer by 18 mm. Manza Club Class offers an additional 90 mm of cabin space thanks to its wheelbase of 2520 mm vs Dzire’s 2430 mm. This means that Manza Club Class will offer more legroom than the Dzire. Manza Club Class with its 1703 mm height offers slightly more headroom as compared to Dzire with 1695 mm height. Manza Club Class offers almost 100 Ltrs more boot space than the Dzire. Manza Club Class thus offers more space than the Dzire.

Both Manza Club Class EX and Dzire ZDi come with Automatic Airconditioning, Power Steering, All Doors Power Windows, Central Locking, Electrically Controlled ORVM’s, 15” Alloy Wheels, Dual Front Airbags, ABS, EBD, Front Seat Belts with Pre-tensioner, Front Disc and Rear Drum Brakes.

Whilst they are both quite similar in comfort, convenience, safety and exterior features, it’s the Manza Club Class EX that offers some additional features which justifies the extra entry cost of nearly Rs.1 lac.

Manza Club Class Ex comes with Italian Leather Upholstery, whilst the Dzire come with premium fabric upholstery only. Manza Club Class 2 Din Stereo Systems with Aux-in and USB port and a Touch Screen are more advanced than the Dzire ZDi Stereo system. Manza Club Class also offers Blue 5 - Blue Tooth functionality with which you can pair up to 5 mobile phones for a Hands Free mobile experience while driving, this feature is not offered by Dzire ZDi.

Manza Club Class EX externally looks more premium than the Dzire ZDi, thanks to chrome insert in door handle, bumper and side rub rails. Manza Club Class also offers a contrasting roof which adds lots of character and stand out appeal to the car.

We believe that all these additional features do take care of the additional cost that one has to pay for Manza Club Class over the Dzire ZDi.

Finally, if creature comfort and tactile feel is more important than the drive experience, then Manza Club Class shoud be your choice. However, whilst both cars are not designed for a car enthusiast, still the Dzire ZDi will hold an edge over Manza Club Class in the performance terms.
